Medicaid-medical assistance program for certain low-income people who are aged, blind, disabled or members of families with children.

CHIP (Child Health Insurance Program)-Health insurance for children under 19 years old.

Baby care -medical assistance program providing payment for doctor’s checkups, assistance with transportations, prenatal education, hospital pre-registration for the baby’s delivery, medical care for mom and baby after birth and referral to other programs.

Well-child care-a comprehensive health care program that provides treatment for illnesses children may have and serves as a well-care” program, helping to prevent illnesses before they happens.

SNAP-supplement nutrition assistance program (food stamps)-helps low-income people buy the food they need to remain healthy.

Foster Care-Investigates child abuse and neglect, works to preserve or restore family stability, and administers foster care and adoptions.

Child Care Services-helps low income families pay for child care so they can work or go to school and provides services to improve the quality of child care.

TANF-Temporary Assistance for Needy Families-provides temporary monthly cash assistance to needy families.

LIF-Low income families- provides medical assistance to low income families.

Child Support Enforcement-locates absent parents establishes paternity and enforces child support payments.

Adult Services for the Aging- In home assistance.

Child Protection-works to protect children by identifying families who have problems and treating those problems before they become too severe.

SD Sales Tax on Food Refund Program-this program provides refunds of sales tax payments on food for residents of SD.

Domestic Abuse Programs- Provides shelter and support services for victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
